This is a new piece that I am working on. I am using scraps of old linens as the base. The hair is dyed using Manic Panic :-). I am thinking of making a series of smaller, less complicated pieces that I can mount in antique frames and sell on Etsy. What do you think?

Nice to see this. Of course I love the idea of selling on Esty. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Chatting in person would of course be better if you're looking for a full on critique. And I'm a little out of practice.
Anyway, my first thought was how cool the hair and the fancy pants white embroidery play off of each other. And the linen is interesting. I kind of love the hoop and wonder if I would miss it (or will it stay?).
This idea is fine. But if you are sewing it by hand. It will take your work longer. I recommend to you that use Sewing machine. It will help you to make more frame work in less time.
I think it"s a great idea! I want one!!! I also do hair works- can you use a machine?

Thanks for your comments! There is no way that this would work on a sewing machine! The hair simply isn't strong enough. I also like the action of doing it by hand. That is a valuable part of the process.
